ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH JASON

September 4, 2025

In our Associate Spotlight series, we are highlighting associates across the company who are shaping our community and who embody our Centric Brands philosophy every day.

Meet Jason Siegel, Director of Planning, Sports and Entertainment Licensing Group (SELG), at Centric Brands. With nearly nine years at Centric, Jason has mastered the art of balancing forecasting, inventory management, and team collaboration—always guided by his passion for continuous learning, his enthusiasm for people, and his “champion’s mindset.”

The Role
In the fast-paced world of sports and entertainment licensing, success depends on having the right inventory in the right place at the right time. As Director of Planning within our SELG group, Jason has spent nearly nine years mastering the balance between forecasting, inventory management and team collaboration.

His role centers on three core responsibilities: managing inventory for Character, Beauty and Messi Kids lines through careful analysis of production and upcoming sales orders; conducting monthly estimate reviews with SELG sales associates using SAP data; and overseeing demand planning and licensor forecasting for the Beauty division.

What Drives Him
What truly energizes Jason goes beyond spreadsheets and forecasting models. “The people! I truly enjoy working with the many people that I have come across in my career at Centric,” he explains. This enthusiasm for human connection, whether learning a new Excel technique from a colleague or sharing personal stories, has become central to his leadership approach within SELG.

Philosophy of Growth
Jason’s commitment to continuous learning was shaped by advice he received five years ago when considering an opportunity within the Beauty division. A colleague told him, “Always keep learning, because new knowledge creates unexpected opportunities.” This wisdom has guided his decision-making ever since, fostering a mindset that embraces growth in an industry known for constant evolution.

A Champion’s Mindset
Jason brings nearly nine years of diverse planning experience across retail, inventory and demand roles to his current position. Having worked with numerous talented professionals throughout his Centric journey, he leverages this comprehensive knowledge to mentor and support colleagues.

His approach to daily challenges draws inspiration from an unexpected source: baseball. As a die-hard Mets fan, Jason has adopted the resilient mindset of professional athletes. “Some days will be challenging, and the best thing to do is to shake it off and come back the next day ready to work,” he notes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining perspective and returning each day with renewed focus.

Looking Forward
Jason’s excitement about Centric’s future centers on the evolution of planning processes. With planning becoming one of the most discussed topics across the organization, teams are constantly exploring new methodologies and innovative tools. This commitment to advancement and investment in planning capabilities creates an environment of continuous improvement that aligns perfectly with his philosophy of lifelong learning.

A Surprising Start
Behind the professional expertise lies a charming personal detail: Jason’s connection to fashion began in infancy as a baby model in the Sears catalogue.

Through his dedication to both people and processes, Jason exemplifies the collaborative spirit and forward-thinking approach that defines success at Centric Brands.
